British National Tarrie Dowden has found herself in trouble with the law. The 27-year old Dowden who has been residing in Grenada for the past year was arrested and charged for the offense of taking prohibited items into a police station last week Thursday.
The British woman who resides at St. Jules Street, St. George’s was caught trying to sneak in five Phoenix Special Cigarettes along with ten match sticks that were contained in a sandwich just about 7:50 p.m. for someone who was at the time held in police custody at the Central Police Station on the Carenage, St. George’s.
Dowden appeared before Magistrate Karen Noel at the St. George’s Number Two Magistrate’s Court last Friday and pleaded guilty to the charge. She was fined $500.00 to be paid in 14 days and in default serve one month in prison.
