The region’s low cost airline, REDjet could soon be flying in and out of the Maurice Bishop International Airport.

  The three-year old Government of Prime Minister Tillman Thomas on Tuesday announced that the application for the Barbados-base airline to fly to Grenada has been approved.

Public consultation on a proposed National Cultural Policy (NCP) for Grenada has started on the island.

Police are investigating a possible case of suicide that took place in St. David's last Sunday.

Grenada played host to one of the French Navy Frigates, Ventose over a four-day period.

 The visit of the ship, which is based in Martinique, is part of the strengthening of relationship between Grenada and France.

 Members of the media were hosted on board the ship last week Friday during which French Ambassador for the OECS, Michel Prom spoke of Grenada’s relationship with France.

Grenada is playing a key role in the preparatory meetings for the Summit of Latin America and the Caribbean, which will be held in Venezuela from December 2-3.

Saturday, October 8th 2011 ¬ St. George¹s, Grenada: Digicel Kick Start Clinics Head Coach and England and Liverpool football Legend, John Barnes, has chosen the four aspiring young footballers from Grenada who will go through to the Digicel Academy in Trinidad from November 1 to 7.

  The four footballers from the Spice Island ¬ Marcio Mc Queen, Shevon John-Brown, Tevin Grant and Nakim Straker ¬ were chosen from a competitive group of 30 who all showcased their talent during the three-day Clinic.
