The management of Sunshine Promotions, wishes to extend deepest apologies for its failure to deliver a quality event, to the expected standards of its patrons and supporters, at the National Stadium on December 23.
The concert titled ‘Ah December to Remember’ featuring International performers Busy Signal, Capleton, Gappy Ranks and a cast of local acts was interrupted by a series of power failures. Despite all efforts by our on-site engineering team and assistances from other local experts we were unable reactivate the system to generate the required levels of power to continue the show.
It is the opinion of our engineering team that a supply of fuel might have been contaminated and the cause of the generator failure. At this time we continue our investigation. To all our patrons and supporters we deeply apologize and thank you for your understanding and patience. Your actions in the midst of great disappointment, confirms your trust and confidence in Sunshine Promotions. This we will never take for granted and truly appreciate.
We advise that you secure your ticket stubs, as we are committed to deliver an event of similar quality and standard in the not too distant future, and you will be informed accordingly. All the artistes have expressed their disappointment, and have pledged their commitment to return to Grenada to fulfill this obligation at the earliest convenience.
To all our sponsors we thank you for your continued support and trust. We sincerely hope that the unfortunate occurrences did not compromise your brand in any way. To the members of the Royal Grenada Police Force and other contracted security details we record our appreciation and thanks, for your high levels professionalism in the execution of your duties throughout the night.
To the management and staff of the National Stadium we also thank you for your assistance. It must be noted that in our ten years of producing concert events we have never had a mishap of this magnitude, we have always been able to deliver our events to the satisfaction and appreciation of our patrons and sponsors.
We will learn from the experiences of December 23rd 2011. You are assured that the causes are being investigated to avoid a reoccurrence in the future.
We look forward to your continued support, and we pledge our commitment to delivering concert events at the highest levels and standards in the future. With God’s blessings and guidance we look forward to great things in 2012 and beyond.
From the Management and staff of Sunshine Promotions we extend best wishes throughout this festive season and 2012.
