Terror Kid gets his car

Soca Monarch winner, Shem "Terror Kid" Bernard, received the keys last week Monday for his brand new Hot Orange, Volkswagen Polo.

General Manager, Angus Steele, made the presentation at the LIME headquarters at Grand Anse, St George. Philip David, General Manager of Sun Motors was on hand for the presentation ceremony.
The handing over ceremony for the top prize in the GCC Lime Soca Monarch competition held August 05 at the National Stadium was reportedly delayed due to the artiste being out of State.
The 23-year-old resident of Chantimelle, St Patrick on receiving his keys, expressed just how happy and excited he was at the moment. "It feels great to receive such a wonderful prize," he said.
"Terror Kid" told reporters that since his victory he has been working in preparation for defending his crown in 2012.More importantly "Terror Kid" said that he is concentrating on participating in the 2012 Trinidad and Tobago International Soca Monarch Competition.
The young artiste is yet to obtain his driver's license and the car was driven away by one of his associates. "Terror Kid" took the crown with "The Last Days" during the keenly contested competition as he captivated the audience with scenes of himself mimicking Jesus being nailed to the cross in a video presentation.
The artiste who has been singing for more than eight years got his first big break in 2010 when he was chosen as a finalist in the competition. In that year he placed sixth with his song "Explosive".
