Another charge has been laid on two Mt. Parnassus, St. George’s men for the recent robbery of C-Tech Gas Station along the Maurice Bishop Highway.
Poultry farmer, Alister Stanisclaus and his employee, Andy John who are currently on remand at the Richmond Hill Prison for the offences of possession of a nine-millimeter firearm, and possession of six rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition now have an additional charge of robbery slapped on them.
The gas station, in early July, lost an estimated $29,000.00 as an employee was in the process of making a deposit to a nearby bank.
Both Stanisclaus and John are also jointly charged with Mindy Francis from River Sallee, St. Patrick’s for harbouring Seon Grant who was a fugitive from justice. All three are due back in court on August 29.
The Mt. Parnassus men were picked up by the police last month after the vehicle in which they were traveling, a Green Escudo van, registration number PN812, crashed with a police vehicle at Beausejour, St. George’s.
The firearm and ammunition were found inside of the driver’s door compartment of the vehicle. The local police intend to send the recovered weapon to Barbados for ballistic checks to determine whether it might have been used in committing other illegal activities on the island.
